Leadership

Lukas Flöss, Founder and CEO
As Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Inovedis, Lukas brings over 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur and effective business leader to the organization. Prior to establishing Inovedis in 2019, Lukas founded and was the Managing Director of Prokon LP Engineering, where he built a successful metal processing and contract manufacturing company providing innovative machining technology for various industries. As an entrepreneur, he is always looking for interesting and creative business ideas with a focus on technology and providing high-quality products to fulfill unmet needs in the market.
Stefan Welte, MD, Founder and CEO
Dr. Med. Stefan Welte is a leading board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a focus on sports medicine, joint replacement, and traumatology and is Chief Physician of Orthopedics at ACURA Clinics Albstadt. With over 20 years experience in the operating room as a trauma and orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Med. Welte understands the limits of shoulder surgery and looks for ways to optimize tendon fixation for rotator cuff tears and improve outcomes for doctors and patients.
Frank Gutsche, Corporate Counsel
Frank acts as corporate counsel for Inovedis and is a partner at the Luther Law Firm in Stuttgart, Germany where he has been advising on real estate, corporate transactions, and corporate law over 30 years. A large number of his clients are foreign investors who invest in real estate and shareholdings in Germany or who start or expand their business activities in Germany through start-ups or acquisitions. Frank received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tübingen and teaches at the Württemberg Academy of Administration in Stuttgart.
Tom Anstead, Head of U.S. Operations
Tom Anstead has served as Head of US Operations for Inovedis since 2024 and brings over 20 years of diverse experience and knowledge in medical device marketing and sales. Prior to joining Inovedis, Tom worked in product management for Anika Therapeutics, Arthrex, and DePuy Synthes and has expertise in shoulder, knee, foot and ankle, and spine products. Early in his career, Tom served as a naval officer on the aircraft carrier USS Independence in Yokosuka, Japan. Tom is a graduate of Villanova University and received an MBA from the University of Michigan and MFA from Boston University.

Scientific Advisors

Philip Kasten, MD, PhD

Prof. Dr. Kasten is a leading specialist in shoulder orthopedics and trauma surgery based in Tuebingen, Germany. He has additional qualifications in Special Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Rheumatology, Pediatric Orthopedics, Manual Therapy, and Physical Medicine. His training and education were completed at BG Trauma Clinic Tübingen, Hannover Medical School, Heidelberg University Hospital, and Dresden University Hospital. In addition, Prof. Dr. Kasten was the sports orthopedic director of the Olympic training Center, Chemnitz-Dresden from 2008-2014.
